Hello INTER-WEB people,
When you hear the word PASSION what do you imagine...You could like probably 90 % of the people, at least that's what I believe, are thinking about what you would read in those cheesy romance novels. However that is not the passion I am talking about here. I am talking about the thing that makes your heart tick. The reason you get up in the morning. The reason and maybe the only reason you are still breathing. I am a teacher by profession and one of the things that I try to instill in my students is this idea of passion. When we are passionate about something it really creates the path that we will drive upon. Our passions take us to places that we NEVER imagined we would go to but we can't be naive to think they will never take us through hard times.
There are two things, well really three, that I am passionate about. First is Jesus, Second my career as a teacher, and third writing. Okay as I was just writing the last sentence I had an internal fight with myself, let me explain. As a teacher we are always assessing what we are doing at the moment we are doing it. We have to in order to meet the growing needs of our students. As I was typing I realized I am passionate about a lot more than just three things but are they my passions or just things that I love. So I looked up the definition of passion. According to Webster, which has WAY more meanings that I realized, says, "A strong liking or desire for or devotion to some activity, object, or concept". While I may be passionate about/love my family, friends, reading, and the list could go on and on I stand firm with the decision that the three I typed first are my top three things I am passionate about.
So with that all being said I have a little announcement... Starting next month which is one day away I am going to be working hard on my blog..This is not just going to be a blog for my thoughts its also going to be my teaching blog. My teaching blog might get its own site but until then. I have thousand of things I want to share with the world that have been lying dormant in my thoughts for TOO LONG. I am also going to be creating things for TEACHERS PAY TEACHERS...This is going to be like a small business for myself as a teacher. I have my name picked out and I am excited to be able to help veteran and new teachers. If you don't know what teachers pay teachers is its a website that teachers can sell activities they have created with other teachers. So teachers are paying teachers for materials they created. Lastly, there may be a you tube channel...I SAID MAYBE..I am still trying to decide if that is an adventure I want to go on. So look out inter-web its about to get a little bit more HUGHESY (yeah I am going to stop at that right there)
Have a great day and stay out of trouble!
